Ventricle

The ventricle is about half the size of you fist. The heart is separated in to four chambers that are connected by heart valves. The lower two chambers are called ventricles. The right ventricle is for pumping deoxygenated blood to the lungs. The left ventricle pumps oxygenated blood to tissues all over the body.

Valves

the valve is about 1/4 of the size of your fist. The mitral valve is found in the heart. It’s between the left atrium and the left ventricle. The mitral valve opens to get more pressure as the left atrium fills with blood. But your heart has four valves in all. There’s the Tricuspid valve, the Pulmonary valve, the Aortic valve, and of course the Mitral valve.

Aorta

The aorta is the 4cm big.The aorta is the largest organ in the body. It moves oxygenated blood from the left ventricle of the heart to every organ in the body. The aorta begins at the top of the left ventricle the heart’s strong pumping chamber.

Vessel

There was no size found for the blood vessels. Vessels are elastic tubes that carry blood to every part of the body. Blood flows through blood vessels to the lungs, dropping off carbon dioxide and picking up oxygen. This happens when you breathe in and out. A similar process takes place when blood flows through the blood vessels leading to and from organs of the body to the heart.

Capillaries

There was no size found for the capillaries. Capillaries are small thin blood vessels that connect the arteries and the veins.Their thin walls allow oxygen, nutrients, carbon dioxide and waste products to pass to and from the tissue cells.

Arteries

The larger arteries need their own blood supply  to carry oxygen  to the cells that make up the artery wall. These “vessels within vessels” are the vasa.

  1.  Red Blood Cells

Are the sizes of cells. Red blood cells develop in bone marrow and circulate in the body for around 120. Their main job is to collect oxygen from the alveoli in your lungs and deliver it all around your body.

2. White Blood Cells

Are the sizes of cells. White blood cells are involved in protecting the body against both infectious and diseases.

Brain

About 20% of the blood flowing from the heart is pumped to the brain. The brain needs constant blood flow in order to keep working. Although the brain accounts for only 2% of the whole body’s mass it uses 20% of all the oxygen we breathe. A continuous supply of oxygen is necessary for survival. A loss of oxygen for 10 minutes can end up in really bad damage.

Kidney

Your kidneys are bean shaped organs each about the size of your fist. They are found near the middle of your back just below the rib cage. The kidneys are trash collectors. Every day your kidneys process about 200 quarts of blood to sift out about 2 quarts of waste products and extra water.
